R&B Artist Ivan Brooks Plans To Keep The Successes Of “Flowers” Going

Ivan Brooks is an R&B prodigy based out on the east coast in Rhode Island. His humble journey to promise began in Liberia, Africa but the Brooks family quickly had to relocate due to civil war to Ghana. As refugees, his family was one of the lucky few selected that was able to come to the United States at the time. While in the states now, Ivan quickly picked up singing and joined his church’s choir, and soon enough he was participating in talent shows.

His musical skills were soon recognized by local producer Justin Graham and Ivan would go on to win a few awards including the 2008 Underground Music Awards at Time Square and the Best Male R&B artist at that year’s B.B Kings. It was in these moments that the creative met rap phenom J Cole, whose mentorship had a huge influence on Ivan’s resilience and drive.

Ivan Brooks’ first single “Birthday” made waves on TikTok generating over 50,000 uses on soundbite. Fast forward to today, Brooks’ has released another successful single titled “Flowers”. The song and music video have already racked up over 550K views/streams.

While he’s been riding that momentum, Ivan Brooks’ has been expanding his connections within the music industry. This fall, the creative is set to release a new track with afrobeat artist Mac Voice.
